Castopod supports the Location tag
Thanks to the podcast:location tag you may now specify if your podcast is about a specific place.
The PodcastIndex namespace defines the podcast:location tag which allows you to specify if a podcast or an episode is about a place. It is intended to describe the location of editorial focus for a podcast's content - i.e. "what place is this podcast about?".
Local podcasts are now here!
The place can be a monument, an address, a city, a region, a country, a mountain or a sea, a continent, another planet… or even be fictional!
The purpose of this feature is to make podcasts local and to allow geographic discovery. The podcast is localized, the user is not. The listener's location is never asked, nor stored, nor shared. Also note that the podcaster's location is usually irrelevant: only location of editorial focus matters.
The podcast:location tag may use OpenStreetMap osmID to locate the podcast (when one is available to describe the place).
In order to define a location for a podcast, just type the location in edit mode:
Depending on the place you are trying to tag, you may type “Paris”, “Paris, France” , “Paris, TX”…
That's it! A link to the map will then be displayed:
